갑작스러운 캠핑 계획! 예상치 못한 번개캠핑을 하게 되었습니다.
다행히 딸 친구 부모님께서 흔쾌히 받아주셔서 빠르게 캠핑장 예약을 진행하고 공주 이레캠핑장으로 향했습니다.
캠핑을 자주 다니는 가족이지만, 이렇게 즉흥적으로 떠나는 여행은 또 다른 설렘을 주는 법이죠.
공주 이레캠핑장, 이곳을 선택한 이유
공주 이레캠핑장은 충청남도 공주시 사곡면 마곡사로에 위치해 있으며,
아름다운 계곡이 바로 앞에 흐르는 자연 친화적인 캠핑장입니다.
특히 가족 단위 캠퍼들에게 인기 있는 곳으로, 조용하고 쾌적한 환경을 제공합니다.
마곡사가 인근에 있어 산책 겸 가볍게 여행을 즐기기에도 좋습니다.
이번 캠핑은 한겨울에 진행되었기 때문에 날씨가 매우 추웠습니다.
이에 대비해 대형 돔쉘터를 설치하고 내부를 따뜻하고 아늑하게 꾸몄습니다.
중앙에는 원형 테이블을 배치하고 난로를 설치해 보온성을 높였으며,
공기의 흐름을 원활하게 해줄 써큘레이터도 함께 사용했습니다.
날씨가 춥더라도 준비만 잘하면 캠핑은 언제나 즐거운 법이죠.
1일 차 - 번개캠의 묘미, 간단하지만 특별한 저녁
갑작스럽게 떠난 번개캠이었기에 첫날 저녁은 간단하게 해결하기로 했습니다.
캠핑장으로 이동하는 길에 포장한 음식을 펼쳐놓고 가벼운 음주를 즐겼습니다.
간단한 한 끼지만, 자연 속에서 먹는 음식은 언제나 최고의 맛을 선사합니다.
공주 이레캠핑장은 비교적 한산하여 이용객이 많지 않았고,
덕분에 개수대, 화장실, 샤워실이 매우 깨끗했습니다.
관리가 잘 되어 있는 캠핑장은 언제나 만족도를 높이는 요소가 됩니다.
추가적으로 캠핑장에서는 애완견 출입이 가능하며, 600와트 이상 난방기 사용이 제한되어 있었습니다.
겨울철 캠핑에서는 난방 기기의 제한 여부를 미리 확인하는 것이 중요하기 때문에
방문 전 캠핑장 규정을 꼭 확인해야 합니다.
첫날 밤, 계곡물 소리를 들으며 쉼의 시간을 가졌습니다.
자연 속에서의 하룻밤은 언제나 특별한 힐링을 선사합니다.
2일 차 - 주변 관광지여행과 캠핑의 꽃, 맛있는 캠핑 요리
캠핑의 또 다른 즐거움은 주변 탐방이죠.
공주 이레캠핑장 근처에는 마곡사가 자리하고 있어 가족과 함께 가볍게 산책을 다녀왔습니다.
고즈넉한 분위기의 마곡사는 아이들과 함께하기에도 좋은 곳이었습니다.
겨울철 방문 시 따뜻한 옷을 준비하는 것은 필수!
겨울 캠핑의 필수 메뉴, 꼬치오뎅탕을 준비했고,
얼큰한 국물이 생각나는 날이었기에 근처 중국집에서 짬뽕탕을 포장해 왔습니다.
메인으로 삼겹살을 구워 김치와 함께 볶아 삼겹살 김치볶음을 만들어 먹었습니다.
캠핑장에서 먹는 음식은 늘 특별한 맛을 느끼게 해줍니다.
마지막 날 - 눈 내리는 아침, 아쉬운 퇴실
밤사이 눈이 내렸고, 아침에 일어나 보니 캠핑장이 새하얗게 변해 있었습니다.
이른 아침의 설경은 그야말로 한 폭의 그림 같았습니다.
하지만 퇴실이 다가올수록 눈길이 걱정되었습니다.
공주 이레캠핑장의 진출입로는 경사가 있어 미끄러울 수 있기 때문에 주의가 필요합니다.
다행히 캠장님께서 퇴실 시간을 여유롭게 조정해 주셔서 안전하게 철수할 수 있었습니다.
캠핑은 마지막까지 안전이 가장 중요하니까요.

번개캠핑, 즉흥적인 여행의 매력
예정에 없던 번개캠핑이었지만, 오히려 즉흥적인 여행이 주는 묘미를 제대로 느낄 수 있었습니다.
계곡이 흐르는 조용한 환경, 깨끗한 캠핑장 시설, 가족과 함께하는 따뜻한 순간들까지.
공주 이레캠핑장에서의 2박 3일은 겨울 캠핑의 매력을 다시금 깨닫게 해준 시간이었습니다.

The Charm of Spontaneous Camping! A Special 2-Night, 3-Day Trip at Gongju Ire Camping Ground
A sudden camping plan! We unexpectedly decided on a spontaneous camping trip. Fortunately, our daughter's friend's parents warmly welcomed us, so we quickly booked a camping site and headed to Gongju Ire Camping Ground. While our family often enjoys camping, an impromptu trip like this brings a whole new level of excitement.
Why We Chose Gongju Ire Camping Ground
Gongju Ire Camping Ground is located in Gongju, Chungcheongnam-do, with a beautiful stream flowing right in front of the site. This nature-friendly camping spot is especially popular among families as it provides a peaceful and comfortable environment. Plus, it is close to Magoksa Temple, making it an ideal location for light hiking and sightseeing.
Since this was a winter camping trip, the weather was quite cold. To prepare for the chilly conditions, we set up our SZXL Large Dome Shelter and arranged the interior to be warm and cozy. A round table was placed in the center with a heater for warmth, while a circulator ensured good airflow. Cold weather doesn’t have to be a problem if you’re well-prepared for winter camping.
Day 1 - The Fun of Spontaneous Camping & A Simple but Special Dinner
Because this trip was unplanned, we kept our first dinner simple yet satisfying. On the way to the camping ground, we picked up some takeout food and enjoyed a casual meal with some light drinks. Even the simplest meals taste extraordinary when enjoyed outdoors.
Since the campsite was not crowded, the kitchen area, restrooms, and showers were incredibly clean and well-maintained. A well-kept camping ground always adds to the overall satisfaction of the trip.
Additionally, pets are allowed at this camping ground, and heating devices above 600W are restricted. When camping in winter, it’s always crucial to check the campsite regulations in advance.
That night, we relaxed to the sound of the flowing stream—a perfect backdrop for unwinding in nature.
Day 2 - The Best Part of Camping: Delicious Outdoor Cooking
The next morning was still quite cold, but we started our day with a hearty breakfast to fully enjoy our time at the camping ground.
A winter camping must-have, skewered fish cake soup (odeng-tang) was the perfect warm-up dish. Since hot soup is always comforting in cold weather, we also brought back some spicy seafood soup (jjambbong-tang) from a local Chinese restaurant. For lunch, we grilled pork belly (samgyeopsal) and stir-fried it with kimchi, making a delicious pork belly kimchi stir-fry. Nothing beats the taste of meals cooked and eaten outdoors.
One of the best things about camping is exploring the nearby areas. Magoksa Temple, located near the campsite, provided a peaceful hiking experience. Walking through the serene atmosphere of the temple was a great way to spend quality time with family. If visiting in winter, be sure to dress warmly!
The Last Day - Snowy Mornings & A Safe Departure
It snowed overnight, and by morning, the campsite was beautifully covered in a white winter wonderland. Early morning snow-covered landscapes always feel magical. However, as our departure time approached, concerns about driving on the snow-covered roads grew. Gongju Ire Camping Ground has a sloped entryway, which could be slippery in snowy conditions.
Thankfully, the campground owner allowed a flexible checkout time, ensuring we could leave safely. Safety always comes first when camping, especially in winter.
The Joy of Spontaneous Camping Trips
Although this trip was unplanned, it reminded us of the unique joy that spontaneous camping trips bring. The peaceful surroundings with a flowing stream, well-maintained facilities, and warm family moments made this 2-night, 3-day camping trip in Gongju Ire Camping Ground truly unforgettable.
