Today, I'd like to share my experience at Jongno Bindaetteok, a traditional restaurant located in Sejong Najeong-ro that offers a variety of jeon (Korean pancakes) and makgeolli (Korean rice wine). I visited this place with friends, and here’s my review.

I ordered the Jongno Modeumjeon, which included a variety of jeon types. Each jeon was fresh and delicious. The assortment included donggeurangttaeng (meatballs), hobakjeon (zucchini pancakes), saewoojeon (shrimp pancakes), yukjeon (beef pancakes), dubujeon (tofu pancakes), myeongtaejeon (pollock pancakes), and samsekjeon (three-color pancakes). The assortment allowed me to enjoy various flavors in one meal. The side dishes, including pickled onions and peppers, kimchi, and dongchimi (radish water kimchi), complemented the jeon perfectly.

 

Atmosphere and Interior

The interior of the restaurant is clean and pleasant, with about six tables for four people and three tables outside. The atmosphere is especially inviting on rainy days, providing a perfect setting to enjoy jeon and makgeolli while watching the rain.

Visiting Jongno Bindaetteok for our third round was perfect for soothing our stomachs after some drinking. We ordered the Jongno Modeumjeon, which came with a variety of jeon types. The pickled onion and pepper side dish paired excellently with the jeon, adding to our overall satisfaction.

 

Not only was the food delicious, but the clean interior and friendly staff made the dining experience even more enjoyable. Jongno Bindaetteok is definitely a place I would like to visit again on a rainy day to enjoy some warm jeon and makgeolli.
